** I will be on maternity leave for part of Feb/March. If you would like to schedule a consultation, please do so now as I will be unavailable for in-person meetings from approx. February 18th-March 25th. Also, it looks like we will soon be transitioning to a mostly online ordering system. There will be many new options and designs added that can be fully customized with your wedding colors, text and font selections. While I've always tried to do as much of the process in person as possible, with higher order demands and a growing family this option will be best for accommodating future orders. Samples will be available to order through the website as well so that you can see the quality in person.
Polka Dots & Daisies is dedicated to bringing you the best products and design at a reasonable cost and with optimum customer service. Please feel free to call or email with any questions you may have. Thanks for your understanding and support!

Melanie + Roman: French Country Wedding Invite
Mel was one of the lovely brides I was able to work with in 2012. She had fabulous taste and a great vision for her wedding. I had a blast designing this French Country inspired ensemble to coordinate with her wedding colors and style. The hand-drawn floral elements were created just for her! I also designed a return address rubber stamp to coordinate with the whole design. Stamps can be made to go with any of our invitation styles.
Our thick, smooth matte stock was used on these invitations to achieve a chic and expensive feel. The rounded corners add extra interest. I also like the combination of using stripes as the background for the invitation and the floral accent from the invite as a border around the insert card. This helps give the overall invite suite some diversity and uniqueness. The European flap brown kraft envelopes added another texture/dimension and also made the perfect backdrop for the custom stamped return address.
Make sure to check out images from Melanie and Roman's wedding at the following links... you'll be glad you did!

Dear World... See you on Monday!
In an attempt to have a "real" vacation, which hasn't happened since I started Polka Dots & Daisies back in 2006, I will be taking a few days off and enjoying some R&R with the husband before we become the parents of two next February. I will therefore not be reachable until Monday, Oct. 15th. I'll definitely reply to any emails & voicemails at that time. In the meantime make sure you "LIKE" the Polka Dots & Daisies Facebook Page for upcoming news & giveaways!

More lovely invites to share...
A few of my recent designs captured by the amazing Pepper Nix for concept shoots designed by the wonderful Carrie of White Ginger Events.
How much do you love this turquoise tux?! I adore it. I am also so in love with using typography. It's one of my very favorite things.
Also, loving to pair florals with patterns like stripes, polka dots & quatrefoil. So much fun, right?

Day of Love!

It's that day again... hearts, cupids and a whole day to celebrate LOVE! It's been a crazy busy year already for Polka Dots & Daisies and I'm looking forward to working with lots of other wonderfully in love couples. Tons of fun, new designs are in the making & I also have many to share from last year that I finally had photographed by the lovely Cherie, of Cherie Hogan Photography. Make sure you check out her work. She's recently moved to Utah from Las Vegas and was featured on Studio 5 a few weeks ago. I've worked with her personally and can highly recommend her! I'll soon be posting the designs she took photos of. If you haven't noticed "Feature Friday" fizzled out with the new year. I made a resolution to blog more than just on Fridays, but as you can see I'm a bit behind on that one! Things have been busier than even I anticipated, which is great, but also means this little blog gets less love. I'm working on it though! Also, just thought I'd mention that some REALLY fun, new things are on the horizon. I've had some projects in the making for quite some time now & I'm hoping that within the next few months they'll be all finished & ready for the world. Can't wait! Sorry to leave you in suspense, but it'll be worth the wait-- trust me! In the meantime, watch for weekly postings of recent designs. Much love & Happy Valentine's Day to all! P.S. Please VOTE for us on the KSL A-List!! You can log in with facebook so you won't have to register. Thanks!

Feature Friday-- St. Regis Winter Shoot
Since it's nearly Christmas and I'll be taking a week off, I think this is the perfect shoot to leave you with... it's chic, sophisticated and oh-so-lovely! The warm tones of plum & ivory are accented with touches of gold to create this decadent & divine event. I love how cozy, yet luxurious this inspiration shoot feels. Carrie Parker of White Ginger Events, made this winter wonderland come to life with the help of some incredible local vendors. The St. Regis Deer Valley makes for the perfect setting and can you believe all the pretty little desserts?! Oh and how fun are the Pine Cone Fire Starter Favors? I think they're quite darling. Well, enjoy these charming images & have yourself a Merry Little Christmas!

Feature Friday-- More Winter Wedding Inspiration!
Today, I bring you more fun winter wedding inspiration. This shoot took place at the Sky Lodge in Park City-- the same location as the other winter wedding shoot I shared a few weeks back, but this one was indoors, inside the incredible Penthouse Suite! Love it.
It all started when Amy Lashelle wanted to shoot a lavish, yet unique winter wedding... so my good friend Amanda {Branches Event Floral} asked me to help with some of the design elements for this charming event-- it was lots of fun. The inspiration came from all the lovely textures of winter-- warm sweaters & mittens, fire wood, faux fur. The color scheme was drawn from shades of Amber, Emerald, Sapphire, Gold & Warm White. I love that these colors are a unique blend, but still have a wintery feel. Natural elements in wood tones were combined with the chic color arrangement for a bit of eclectic charm. We brought in some of the outdoors with whimsical additions like the owls & hedgehogs. I love the upscale lodge feeling with the cozy, at-home touches. Two dresses were used for this shoot to showcase different winter wedding fashion ideas. Add knit tights, shimmering ankle boots and a faux fur wrap to make a shorter-style dress perfect for a winter wedding. Or pair a lovely cardigan with a simple, yet chic full-length dress for a charming look.
Don't you just adore all the lovely details? I'm smitten with the mini Martinelli's & darling mitten favors! Happy winter to you & hope you enjoy this sweet little shoot...
